Purchasing Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Role Overview - We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Purchasing Manager to oversee the sourcing and acquisition of high-quality products for our online retail platform. - In this role, you will be responsible for the entire end-to-end purchasing process—from evaluating global and local suppliers to negotiating favorable contracts that protect our margins. - You will bridge the gap between our marketing, finance, and logistics teams to ensure our digital catalog remains competitive and our inventory levels are perfectly optimized to meet customer demand. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, vet, and onboard new vendors to ensure a diverse and reliable supplier network. - Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and exclusivity rights to maximize profitability. - Analyze sales trends and market data to predict future inventory needs and developOpen-to-Buy (OTB)investment plans. - Develop and maintain procurement budgets, ensuring Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)remains within target thresholds. - Monitor vendor reliability using key metrics like On-Time Delivery and Order Accuracy, taking corrective action when standards are not met. - Partner with the Marketing team to align stock readiness with promotional calendars (e.g., Black Friday, seasonal launches). Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. - 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing or category management, preferably within the e-commerce or FMCG industry. - Proficiency in ERP systems(e.g., NetSuite, Sage) and e-commerce platforms like Shopify. - Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for data driven decision makingand inventory modeling. - Strong understanding of digital marketing impacts on inventory turnover.
