Purchase Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Position Overview: - The Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services required for company operations at competitive prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery. - Prior experience in automobile parts or a related industry will be an added advantage, but the role is not limited to auto components. Key Responsibilities: - Source and purchase raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and services - Identify and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance - Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain procurement documentation - Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors - Coordinate with stores, production, service, and accounts teams - Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to avoid shortages or excess stock - Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery - Verify invoices, GRNs, and support finance for payment processing - Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Mechanical, or related field - 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement - Automobile or engineering industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
