Key Responsibilities

As Provost, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership for developing and implementing academic programs aligned with institutional mission
• Drive excellence in teaching, research, and clinical education
• Lead faculty recruitment, retention, mentorship, and development
• Ensure program alignment with regulatory bodies and institutional priorities
• Oversee accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance processes
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and partnership development
• Enhance student engagement, performance, and retention
• Represent the institution professionally at external forums and build key stakeholder relationships
• Manage academic budgets and ensure resource optimization
• Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and innovation across all academic units

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum Second Class Honours degree in Nursing
• Master's Degree in Nursing or related field from a recognized institution
• Teaching qualification (PGDE, Diploma in Education, or Nurse/Midwife Educator certification)
• Current Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria license
• Minimum 15 years of cognate teaching or working experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Doctoral Degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)
