Project Manager (Construction)

Position Overview

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate must be a Registered Civil Engineer with a minimum of 15 years' experience, including extensive hands-on experience managing construction projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end construction projects (planning, execution, monitoring, and closure)
• Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors
• Monitor project progress and prepare periodic reports for management
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety standards
• Manage project risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
• Conduct site inspections and stakeholder meetings
• Manage project financials, including cost control and budget tracking

Requirements

• Registered Civil Engineer (COREN registration required)
• Minimum of 15 years' post-qualification experience
• Proven experience serving as a Project Manager on major construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong financial and budget management capabilities
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
• Strong communication and reporting skills
