About the Role
The Disability and Inclusive Development Department at HANDS is seeking a Project Manager – Clubfoot Programme to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for our multi-zone clubfoot programme. You will ensure zonal Outreach Coordinators deliver identification, referral, enrollment, and retention targets while institutionalizing sustainable screening and referral systems with State Ministries of Health and other strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Development and Implementation
- Lead annual and quarterly planning, LGA microtargeting, and costed workplans per zone, aligned with clinic capacity, staffing, and supplies
- Negotiate and steward MOUs and joint workplans with State Ministries of Health (SMOH) and strategic ministries (Information, Women Affairs, Education, Religious/Chieftaincy/Local Government) to integrate clubfoot into Reproductive, Maternity, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH), Antenatal Care/Expanded Program on Immunization (ANC/EPI), newborn, and private-sector platforms
- Oversee demand generation activities including Information, Education, and Communication (IEC), local radio, and social media campaigns
- Convene high-level engagements with traditional and religious leaders to normalize early Ponseti treatment and reduce stigma and defaulting
- Coordinate cross-zone logistics, permits, security considerations, and stakeholder buy-in
Programme Monitoring and Supervision
- Line-manage four Outreach Coordinators; set clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly targets
- Conduct weekly check-ins, supportive supervision, and routine field visits
- Maintain dashboards for leads, referrals, enrollments, conversion, and retention/defaults
- Ensure data quality and use insights for rapid course correction
- Ensure the clubfoot programme is implemented according to HANDS's core values and in alignment with the RunFree2030 Global Strategy
