About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager at Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited, based in Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and construction regulations
• Coordinate subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual conditions of performance
• Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables
• Negotiate agreement terms, manage construction contract drafts, bid on projects, and obtain permits to analyze and mitigate risks
• Communicate with responsible parties to ensure quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized, while efficiently meeting client needs and requirements
• Review projects on a daily basis to ensure quality construction standards are maintained and estimates remain within budget
• Supervise construction projects to ensure completion on time and that deliverables exceed customer requirements
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of the project process in a fast-paced environment, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors
• Coordinate technical department staff activities in relation to generating project drawings, bills of quantities (B.O.Q.), tender submissions, and material take-offs (MTO)
• Coordinate company projects from inception to completion on site
• Prepare workshop drawings for various projects
• Check and approve workshop drawings of company projects for compliance with client specifications and standards
• Participate in company implementation of ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications with proven experience in construction or project management
• Previous experience in steel fabrication and/or construction industry highly valued
