## Title: Project Finance Officer

About the Organization

A reputable organization is seeking a dedicated Project Finance Officer to support the Learning Through Skills Acquisition Initiative (LETSAI) in Kogi State, Nigeria.

Project Overview

This project directly targets persons with disabilities, their family members, and other community structures, including state and local government ministries, departments and agencies, Civil Society Organizations (including Organizations of People with Disabilities), women and girls, Community Health Workers, and community members in Kogi State.

The project focuses on strengthening the capacity of Organizations of People with Disabilities (OPDs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs), government stakeholders, and media platforms to understand and implement disability law in Kogi State. It employs a structured multi-sectorial and Community-Based Inclusive Development approach to reinforce awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities.

Position Summary

The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting functions of the project. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining financial and accounting records and systems for the project
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial provisions of the contract
  • Guiding fund utilization and monitoring budgetary spending
  • Processing payments for project activities
  • Representing the organization in meetings on finance and fund management
  • Generating and submitting financial reports on schedule

Essential Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with at least two years of post-qualification experience
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, CNA, ACCA, CIMA, or other recognized foreign qualification (advantageous)

Technical Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Experience using financial software (such as QuickBooks, ProMIS, or similar platforms)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of financial and tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
