Project Engineer - Telecoms

About the Role

Royal Power and Energy Limited is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead telecommunications infrastructure projects from conception through completion. This role combines technical expertise with project management and team leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive technical site surveys to assess project requirements, identify potential challenges, and suggest optimal solutions aligned with client needs and project specifications
• Prepare detailed technical documentation for tender submissions, including technical specifications, drawings, schematics, and equipment lists, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
• Oversee the seamless execution of telecom projects from initiation to completion, coordinating with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance
• Lead and manage a team of field service engineers tasked with site surveys and project implementation, providing technical guidance and support to optimize team performance
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for the service department to enhance technical proficiency, operational efficiency, and service quality standards

Required Experience and Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with Power Backup Systems (UPS and Batteries)
• Knowledge of DC Power Systems (Rectifiers/Converters)
• Experience with Power Distribution (Transformers, AVR/Stabilizers, MV/LV panels)
• Understanding of Power Protection systems (Surge Protections, Lightning Protection, Earthing Systems)
• Familiarity with Power Audit/Consultancy
• Experience with Renewable Energy Systems
