Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Accountant located in Akure.
- The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to real estate projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- They will oversee project accounting, prepare financial reports, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and work closely with project teams to ensure financial goals are met.
- The role also involves monitoring expenses, reconciling accounts, and contributing to overall financial strategy and performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, project budgeting, and cost analysis
- Strong skills in financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance
- Proficiency in project management tools and financial systems
- Knowledge of real estate or construction accounting is advantageous
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Professional certifications such as ACA or ACCA are a plus
- Resident in Akure or willing to relocate
