## Title: Program Specialist

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and seeking the right talent. The Program Specialist will provide overall leadership, coordination, and oversight for the design, implementation, and monitoring of assigned programs. This role ensures high-quality program delivery, effective stakeholder engagement, and compliance with donor and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning, execution, and management of program activities in alignment with strategic objectives, donor requirements, and organizational priorities
  • Coordinate development and implementation of annual workplans, budgets, and performance frameworks
  • Ensure timely delivery of outputs, quality control, and adherence to technical standards
  • Drive integration of innovations such as digital health solutions, mentorship models, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage program budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, transparency, and compliance with donor and organizational policies
  • Support program procurement, logistics, and administrative functions
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality reports (financial, technical, and programmatic)
  • Supervise program teams to ensure effective implementation of evidence-based interventions
  • Monitor implementation of program innovations and adapt strategies based on evidence and lessons learned
  • Represent the organization in partner coordination forums
  • Oversee technical and operational teams and drive adaptive program management
  • Serve as the primary focal point for government, partners, and donors within assigned portfolio
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and donor regulations

Required Qualifications

Strong background in one or more of the following areas:

  • Health systems strengthening
  • Maternal and newborn health (MNH)
  • Reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH)
  • Infectious disease programs
