Requirements

Educational and Professional Qualifications

Ph.D. Degree or equivalent qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or related field of specialization
Minimum of nine (9) years of teaching experience at university level
Current membership in relevant professional bodies

Teaching and Supervision

Minimum of five (5) points from postgraduate students supervised
Demonstrated experience in postgraduate teaching and supervision

Research and Publications

Considerable research background with minimum seventy-five (75) points from admissible publications
Minimum of fifteen (15) publications
Minimum of five (5) papers indexed in Scopus
Visible presence on Google Scholar with a minimum of thirty (30) citations

Academic Leadership and Service

Minimum of five (5) points from Academic Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities
Minimum of three (3) points from Community Service
Minimum of forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal
Two (2) Favourable External Assessments
