• Ph.D. Degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture or related area of specialization
• Minimum of nine (9) years of teaching experience at university level
• Minimum of five (5) points from postgraduate student supervision
• Considerable research background with a minimum of seventy-five (75) points from admissible publications
• Minimum of fifteen (15) publications
• Minimum of five (5) papers indexed in Scopus
• Minimum of five (5) points in Academic Leadership and/or Administrative Responsibilities
• Minimum of three (3) points in Community Service
• Minimum of forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal
• Two (2) favorable external assessments

Academic Standing

• Must be visible on Google Scholar with a minimum citation count of thirty (30)
• Must be an up-to-date member of relevant professional body/bodies
