## Title: Production Pharmacist

Major Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with production managers to develop and execute production plans
  • Oversee the compounding of ingredients to create pharmaceutical products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established formulas
  • Develop and review pharmaceutical formulations
  • Review and approve batch records to ensure accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Investigate and address any deviations or discrepancies in the production process
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that production processes meet quality requirements and regulatory standards
  • Oversee the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality standards
  • Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory standards and is readily available for audits
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of production activities
  • Work closely with quality control, research and development, and regulatory affairs teams to achieve production goals
  • Ensure that production activities comply with regulatory requirements
  • Stay updated on pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, NAFDAC)
  • Provide technical support to resolve production-related issues
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement best practices and streamline manufacturing processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and product quality
  • Support the professional development of team members
  • Provide training to production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
