## Title: Production Pharmacist
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join MeCure Healthcare Limited (MHL) in Lagos, Nigeria as a Production Pharmacist. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact in pharmaceutical manufacturing while ensuring compliance with international regulatory standards.
Major Responsibilities
- Oversee the compounding of ingredients to create pharmaceutical products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established formulas
- Develop and review pharmaceutical formulations
- Review and approve batch records to ensure accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborate with production managers to develop and execute production plans
- Collaborate with the production team to implement best practices and streamline manufacturing processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Oversee the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other quality standards
- Conduct regular checks to ensure that production processes meet quality requirements and regulatory standards
- Investigate and address any deviations or discrepancies in the production process
- Ensure that all documentation meets regulatory standards and is readily available for audits
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of production activities
- Ensure that production activities comply with regulatory requirements
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, NAFDAC)
- Work closely with quality control, research and development, and regulatory affairs teams to achieve production goals
- Provide technical support to resolve production-related issues
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
- Ensure the efficient utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
- Support the professional development of team members
- Provide training to production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
