Production Manager - Furniture at Ascentech Services Limited

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Production Manager in our furniture manufacturing facility. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of furniture production, from planning through delivery, ensuring projects meet client specifications, quality standards, and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed furniture and fittings production plans and coordinate the production process to deliver on pre-agreed terms, timeframes, budget, quality, and scope
• Manage the production facility and oversee the production process to ensure it runs smoothly, safely, and meets production budget and goals
• Ensure all furniture orders are executed to clients' specifications and requirements
• Prepare cutting lists from drawings and designs provided by the design architect
• Oversee and collaborate with Quality Control to establish and execute quality control processes
• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes
• Oversee the complete production process, including cutting to measurements, edge taping, board planning, designing, finishing, and production scheduling
• Set targets and provide direction to carpenters, floor hands, machinists, and quality assistants
• Estimate costs and establish quality standards
• Ensure production remains cost-effective
• Work with management to implement company policies and goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Wood Technology (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant work experience in high-end furniture manufacturing
• Mandatory experience working in a furniture factory

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in operating CNC machines and associated programmes
• Advanced knowledge of production machinery and hand tools
• Strong understanding of furniture production processes and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Furniture Production
