Position Overview:   - The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of chemical production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations. - This role requires strong leadership and a deep understanding of chemical manufacturing processes to drive productivity while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and control all manufacturing operations to meet production targets in line with company objectives. - Oversee the formulation, blending, batching, and packaging processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality. - Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations (e.g., NAFDAC, SON, ISO standards). - Supervise, train, and develop the production team, including supervisors, technicians, and operators. - Monitor production performance, analyze KPIs, and implement corrective actions where necessary. - Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other departments for seamless operations. - Develop and manage production budgets, minimize waste, and optimize resource utilization. - Ensure proper maintenance of plant machinery and equipment in coordination with the engineering team. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen) to improve efficiency and product quality. - Prepare regular production reports and present updates to senior management. Required Qualifications: and Experience - B.Sc./HND in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related discipline. - Minimum of 9–12years' experience in chemical or related manufacturing industries, with at least 6years in a managerial role. - Proven experience in managing production teams and processes in a regulated environment. Skills: - Strong leadership and team management skills. - In-depth knowledge of chemical production processes and quality systems. - Sound understanding of HSE standards and compliance requirements. - Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
