## Title: Procurement Officer / Storekeeper
Position Overview
KAAF Specialist Hospital is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Officer / Storekeeper to oversee the ordering, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and shipping of equipment, materials, and supplies for various departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and verify all transactions in the store
- Maintain records of stock received and issued to departments
- Compile orders for purchasing and verify receipt of orders with Accounts Payable
- Research cost, quality, and availability of goods; select appropriate goods and vendors; and submit requisitions that comply with departmental budgetary guidelines
- Monitor storeroom budget
- Inspect and verify that received stock meets specifications and that orders are complete
- Resolve order problems with vendors and departments as necessary
- Store articles by style, size, material, etc., according to departmental procedures
- Rotate supplies to ensure items do not expire before use
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly storeroom
- Make decisions regarding the physical layout of the storeroom
- Perform inventory of storeroom supplies on a weekly and semi-annual basis and update in HMIS
- Conduct inventory maintenance and determine redistribution actions for stored goods when necessary
- Document storeroom operations for billing and inventory control
- Perform clerical duties such as data entry of requisitions and receipts
- Answer staff questions regarding storeroom activities to ensure quality service delivery
- Assist staff in evaluating new products and suggest product substitutions when necessary
- Liaise with departments in planning the range and quality of materials to be stocked
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience in storekeeping/inventory management
- Excellent communication skills
