Procurement Officer - Kano at Neveah Limited

About the Role

Neveah Limited is seeking a qualified and technically competent Procurement Officer for our Aluminum and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant based in Kano. Our facility, located in Mowe (Lagos-Ibadan Express Way), Ogun State, specializes in recycling a broad range of scrap materials and converting them into usable Aluminum and Copper Ingots for various manufacturing purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and identify suppliers of scrap materials and raw materials
• Adhere to company guidelines on price quotation frequency, bid acceptance numbers, and vendor selection criteria
• Procure goods for the company while maintaining quality and cost standards
• Update and maintain supplier lists and databases regularly
• Build and manage supplier relationships and engagements
• Discuss and negotiate contracts and possible engagements through the Manager
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, technical support, and availability of goods and services
• Monitor scrap suppliers' deliverables and adherence to timelines
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly procurement reports

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Achieve at least 95% on-time delivery of scrap materials from suppliers
• Maintain procurement cost savings of 5–10% through effective negotiation and sourcing
• Ensure 98% supplier quality compliance on all aluminum and copper scrap deliveries
• Maintain 100% adherence to procurement policies and reporting timelines
• Keep procurement spend within ±5% of approved budget
• Achieve 98% ERP data accuracy and timely updates to supplier database

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a recycling facility
• Proven experience in aluminum scrap procurement

Required Competencies

• Knowledge of procurement software and tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
