## Title: Procurement Officer

Job Summary

In this position, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity. You will identify the best ways to reduce procurement expenses, enabling the company to invest in its growth and people. This position offers excellent opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing

  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
  • Negotiate with vendors to compare offers, timelines, and pricing to secure advantageous terms for the company
  • Procure high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for the company
  • Develop sourcing plans for both local and international sources to ensure fast and effective sourcing operations
  • Analyze company requirements and evaluate every sourcing alternative before each purchase
  • Evaluate letter of credit documents and collaborate with the accounting department to ensure timely fulfillment of financial obligations
  • Prepare all purchasing documents and contracts

Logistics

  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments and consolidating warehousing and distribution
  • Coordinate with international logistics personnel to ensure proper shipment delivery

Vendor Management

  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs
  • Oversee the purchasing team in their daily activities
  • Monitor supplier and vendor performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Examine and test existing vendor contracts
  • Research and identify new vendors, vet them, and add qualified vendors to the vendor list

Record Keeping

  • Enter order details (vendors, quantities, prices, dates) of all purchases into the internal database
  • Maintain and update the supplier list, including qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development opportunities
