Position Overview:
- The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring the timely sourcing of goods and services at optimal cost, quality, and delivery standards.
- The role will support operational efficiency by driving strategic sourcing, supplier management, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and purchase order processing
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and service-level agreements to achieve value for money.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Monitor supplier performance and address delivery, quality, or cost issues
- Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, and procurement documentation
- Monitor procurement spend and support cost optimization initiatives
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Support internal and external audits by providing procurement documentation.
- Work closely with finance, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of goods and services
- Track inventory levels and support demand planning where applicable
- Resolve procurement-related issues impacting business operations.
- Prepare procurement reports on spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings
- Maintain up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries
- Minimum of 3–8 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain roles
- Experience working in a structured corporate, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or service environment is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Good understanding of procurement best practices and sourcing strategies
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement/ERP systems
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
