## Title: Procurement and Accountant
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement/Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong accounting background, vast knowledge of inventory management, and hands-on experience in bookkeeping. You will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring effective inventory control to support smooth business operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including vendor sourcing, price negotiations, and purchase order management
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all inventory items
- Oversee construction supervision activities
- Maintain up-to-date bookkeeping records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements, expense reports, and monthly account summaries
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, company standards, and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any discrepancies in orders
- Track procurement costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for procurement activities
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation
Requirements
- OND / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and procurement
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control systems
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or ERP systems)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
