Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for class teachers, located in Lagos. As a class teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, delivering engaging and effective lessons, and providing training to pupils. You will also assess pupils performance, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate a positive and conducive learning environment to enhance pupils' academic growth. Collaboration with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded educational experience for pupils is also expected.
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver lessons, adapt teaching methods for diverse learners, and select appropriate learning materials.
- Assign, grade, and analyze homework, tests, and projects; track progress; and prepare reports.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment, manage pupil behavior, and encourage positive habits.
- Provide individual help and support pupils social and emotional development.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes, participate in training, and collaborate with colleagues and other professionals.
- Establishing and enforcing rules of behavior for pupils in the classroom
- Preparing lessons, units and projects to complete learning objectives
- Establishing and communicating clear objectives for lessons, units and projects
- Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of pupils
- Encouraging pupils to explore learning opportunities and career paths
- Creating a safe, respectful and inclusive classroom environment
Skills:
/QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree from a reputable institution
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Teaching methods tailored to specific subjects and pupils needs
- Strong background in Education and Training with a passion for fostering learning and development
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with pupils, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and use of innovative teaching tools
- Degree or certification in Education or related subject area, with relevant teaching experience
- Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience with modern educational technology and e-learning platforms is a plus
