## Title: Power System Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Power System Technician to ensure uninterrupted power supply to all data centre systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and power infrastructure. This role is key to maintaining uptime, system reliability, and compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain data centre electrical systems including UPS, PDUs, generators, ATS, and switchgear
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all power-related infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, battery banks, and grounding systems
- Respond promptly to power faults, alarms, or system failures to minimize downtime
- Support installation and commissioning of new power systems and components
- Document maintenance activities, system configurations, and equipment logs
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors on system upgrades or repairs
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Participate in capacity planning and power load management
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as required by operational schedules
Requirements
- HND/B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical or data centre power systems maintenance
- Strong knowledge of UPS systems, generators, batteries, and electrical distribution
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and single-line diagrams
- Experience with power monitoring tools and building management systems (BMS)
- Good understanding of safety and compliance standards (NFPA, ISO, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
