## Title: Portfolio Management Officer

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role as a Portfolio Management Officer. This position offers the opportunity to drive investment strategy and performance in a dynamic financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor investment performance to ensure stated objectives are being met
  • Analyse financial statements to measure the impact of market fluctuations on the firm's financial position
  • Determine the rate of return on investments and calculate cash inflow or outflow projections over time
  • Develop new investment strategies based on current trends in the financial markets
  • Recommend changes to existing portfolios based on new information or changing market conditions
  • Provide research support to investment teams by tracking industry trends and statistics
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather information about new investments
  • Recommend changes to investment strategies based on assessments of risk tolerance, time horizon, and other relevant considerations
  • Research potential investments and make recommendations to clients based on their risk tolerance, time horizon, and other considerations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related field
  • 3 – 5 years' post-NYSC experience
  • Proven Fund Management experience and financial modelling capability
  • Knowledge of Nigeria's capital market regulations and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with SEC rules and other relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Policy and regulatory knowledge, interpretation, and application skills
  • Ability to analyse large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Islamic/non-interest finance (advantageous)
