Policy Advisor

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview: - We are seeking a highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team. S/he will be responsible for coordinating rule and policy making process for Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and supporting NGX RegCo in its provision of rules/policy development, guidance, advisory and related services to all relevant stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinating end to end process of developing and/or amending rules, regulatory policies and frameworks; - Interpreting existing and proposed rules, as well as address related enquiries, for benefit of all relevant stakeholders; - Conducting regular research, building relationships and leveraging existing relationships with all relevant stakeholders, to ensure best practices; - Writing comment letters on existing and proposed SEC rules, policies or any other regulation or law pertaining NGX Group and relevant stakeholders; - Supporting promotion of services and activities of NGX RegCo as required; - Monitoring and reporting on general developments in Capital Market. Person Specification & Required Qualification (s) - HND/Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or any related field; - Minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience in either legal, regulatory/compliance, or relevant role; - Strong understanding of securities laws, with solid knowledge of Investments and Securities Act 2025, SEC Rules, NGX Rules, and CAMA 2020; - Good knowledge of Capital Market; - Sound business and legal judgment; - Excellent presentation, problem solving and communication skills; - Excellent Time management and Project Management skills.
