Plumbing Design & Estimation Engineer at Mar and Mor Integarted Services

Job Summary

Prepare complete cost estimations and tender pricing for Piped Services (Plumbing and Fire Protection) elements, including material, labour, erection equipment, testing/commissioning man hours, and direct & indirect resources in line with BOQ, scope of work, project specifications, and relevant standards.

Create and develop Plumbing and Fire Protection designs for commercial and residential facilities. Conduct site visitations, inspections, and surveys to assess piped services needs and provide appropriate design solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and project managers to discuss project scope
• Review invitation to tender (ITT) documents including drawings, project specifications, BOQ, scope of work, contract details, and conditions
• Prepare Plumbing and Fire Protection cost estimates, review and evaluate vendors' quotes, and recommend the best options to clients
• Price Piped Services Tender BOQ in line with project specifications, drawings, and associated invitation to tender documents
• Prepare Plumbing and Fire Protection designs and associated cost estimates for Design and Build projects in accordance with design brief, specifications, and relevant codes and standards
• Prepare Design Brief and Design Technical Reports
• Provide analytical and problem-solving support using engineering skills to support business and quality improvement processes
• Prepare Plumbing and Fire Protection Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation documentation
• Prepare and send inquiries to subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive quotations
• Collaborate with QA/QC and project teams to establish project execution method statements and reflect these in estimations
• Prepare technical clarifications to clients regarding discrepancies in tender documents
