Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Physiotherapist to join our team at Reddington Hospital in Lagos. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients restore mobility, improve physical function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals
- Provide physiotherapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and rehabilitation techniques
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and rehabilitation records
- Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and professional standards
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuous professional development activities
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the physiotherapy unit
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
- Current license to practice with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTB)
- Minimum of 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable healthcare facility
- Proficiency in musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and therapeutic skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-handling abilities
