## Title: Pharmacy Technician

Position Overview

The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications to patients. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescribed medications to inpatients and outpatients
  • Prepare and label medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Maintain accurate patient medication profiles and prescription records
  • Manage and monitor stock levels to ensure adequate availability of medicines and supplies
  • Receive, store, and organize pharmaceutical supplies according to proper storage requirements
  • Check for expired or damaged drugs and report appropriately
  • Assist in compounding, packaging, and reconstitution of medicines when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy environment
  • Support pharmacists in providing drug information and advice to healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in inventory audits and stock reconciliations
  • Handle billing, documentation, and insurance-related tasks as assigned
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all duties

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician program from an accredited institution
  • Current registration or license with the regulatory body
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant work experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug names, dosages, and storage requirements
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and basic computer applications
