Job description

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Key Responsibilities: - Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications accurately. - Detect therapeutic incompatibilities during drug preparation and promptly report findings to the prescribing physician or supervising pharmacist. - Support the procurement, receipt, storage, and inventory management of drugs and pharmaceutical supplies. - Maintain accurate drug records, prescriptions, and inventory documentation. - Ensure proper storage conditions and adherence to drug safety and control standards. - Participate in continuous education and professional development programs, including clinical meetings and pharmacy trainings. - Assist with routine departmental risk management, quality improvement, and health & safety assessments in line with hospital policies. - Provide courteous and professional service to patients and other hospital staff. - Support pharmacists and pharmacy team members with assigned duties as required. - Comply with hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications: & Experience: - Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an accredited healthcare or hospital setting. - Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or a related field. - Must be a certified and registered member of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN). - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications. - Experience using computer software for drug inventory management is required. - Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach. - High level of integrity, professionalism, and compassion. - Previous hospital or clinical experience is an added advantage.
