Pharmacy Technician

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview: - The pharmacy technician plays a vital role in supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. - They assist in preparing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. - Prepare prescription orders, including counting, pouring, and labeling medications. - Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed. - Maintain patient records and update information in the pharmacy database. - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, doctors, and other healthcare providers. - Process insurance claims and assist with billing and payment transactions. - Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, organizing prescriptions, and maintaining a clean workspace. - Follow all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety protocols. Required Qualifications: - HND or Bsc. - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is preferred - Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare setting is beneficial. - Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medical terminology. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing prescriptions. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. - Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
