About the Role

Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescription and non-prescription medications
• Provide customers with basic drug information and direct them to the pharmacist for detailed counseling
• Label, package, and organize medications under supervision
• Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and customer transactions
• Restock shelves and ensure all products are properly labeled and within expiry dates
• Handle point-of-sale transactions and manage cash register duties
• Support ordering, receiving, and arranging pharmaceutical supplies
• Assist with monthly inventory audits and stock management
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy environment
• Follow all pharmacy guidelines, safety procedures, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or relevant certification in health sciences or related fields
• 1–2 years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
• Basic understanding of medications, dosage forms, and pharmacy operations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle pressure
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or pharmacy software (an added advantage)

Working Hours

Onsite, full-time position (Monday–Saturday schedule)
