Pharmacy Assistant

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. Position Overview: - Our client in the pharmaceutical industry seeks to hire a Pharmacy Assistant. The ideal candidate will support the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. - This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescription and non-prescription medications. - Provide customers with basic drug information and direct them to the pharmacist for detailed counseling. - Label, package, and organize medications under supervision. - Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and customer transactions. - Restock shelves and ensure all products are properly labeled and within expiry dates. - Handle point-of-sale transactions and manage cash register duties. - Support in ordering, receiving, and arranging pharmaceutical supplies. - Assist with monthly inventory audits and stock management. - Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy environment. - Follow all pharmacy guidelines, safety procedures, and regulatory standards. Requirements: - Minimum of OND or relevant certification in health sciences or related fields. - 1–2 years experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy. - Basic understanding of medications, dosage forms, and pharmacy operations. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Strong attention to detail, integrity, and accuracy. - Ability to work effectively in a team and handle pressure. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office or pharmacy software is an added advantage.
