Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage laboratory operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards
• Maintain and enhance quality control protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results
• Oversee testing of petroleum products, including lubricants, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Collate, interpret, and report laboratory results effectively, providing detailed findings and actionable recommendations
• Manage laboratory supplies, ensuring timely orders and stock maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laboratory

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a petroleum laboratory, with specific focus on lubricant quality testing
• Proven leadership ability with strong analytical and communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of laboratory safety procedures and hazardous material handling protocols
