Job description
We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position.
Role Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Pelletizer Operator with hands-on experience operating pelletizing machines within a plastic recycling plant or the internal recycling unit of a large plastic manufacturing company.
- The ideal candidate must have practical knowledge of pelletizing processes and be capable of operating and maintaining pelletizing equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality recycled plastic pellets for production use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor pelletizing machines used in plastic recycling or internal scrap reprocessing.
- Process plastic waste, off-cuts, rejects, and regrind materials into reusable pellets.
- Monitor and control extrusion parameters such as temperature, pressure, and feed rate.
- Ensure uniform pellet size, texture, and quality in line with production standards.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize output and reduce material waste.
- Conduct routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production logs and report output levels to the Production Supervisor.
- Ensure strict adherence to factory safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and quality control teams to meet daily production targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4–7years’ experience operating pelletizing machines in:
- A plastic recycling plant, OR
- The internal recycling unit of a large plastic manufacturing company.
- Strong understanding of plastic reprocessing and pelletizing operations.
- Experience handling production scrap, regrind, and post-industrial plastic waste.
- Ability to troubleshoot and adjust extrusion and pelletizing systems.
- Willingness to work shifts in a factory environment.
- Technical certification (OND or Trade Test) is an added advantage but not mandatory with strong hands-on experience.
