Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive medical care for newborns, neonates, infants, and children across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services - Participate in routine neonatal care as part of paediatric clinical duties - Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management - Monitor growth, development, and overall child health outcomes - Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver coordinated care - Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records - Comply with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements - Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives Professional Requirements - MBBS or equivalent medical degree - Fellowship in Paediatrics (FMCPaed, FWACP, or equivalent) - Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) - Valid annual practicing licence - Demonstrated interest in neonatal and newborn care - Post-fellowship clinical experience will be an added advantage - Strong clinical judgment, decision making, and patient management skills - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities - High standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient-centred care
