Position Overview: - A Pattern Maker transforms fashion designers' sketches into precise, functional, and production-ready templates (patterns) for apparel manufacturing. - They create, grade, and refine garment blueprints using traditional methods or CAD software, ensuring accurate fit, proportions, and material efficiency. Responsibilities include developing prototypes, collaborating with designers, and managing pattern libraries. Key Responsibilities: - Pattern Drafting: Creating accurate, detailed master patterns from sketches, technical drawings, or prototypes. - Grading: Resizing patterns to fit various sizes, maintaining design integrity across a size range. - Technical Design: Adjusting patterns based on garment fit, fabric characteristics (stretch, weight), and construction requirements. - Production Preparation: Determining best layouts for maximum fabric yield and adding seam allowances, notches, and placement marks. - Prototyping & Revisions: Creating sample pieces to test fit and revising patterns after fitting sessions. - Documentation: Maintaining digital or physical records of patterns, including style specifications and technical sketches. Required Qualifications: - Interested candidates should possess an FSLC, HND, NCE, or OND qualification with 2-4 years of experience.
