Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, creative, and detail-oriented Pastry Assistant to join our pastry team. The ideal candidate will support the Pastry Chef in preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked items while maintaining excellent hygiene and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing pastries, doughs, desserts, and other baked items
• Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station
• Decorate and present pastries neatly and attractively
• Monitor baking times and ensure items are prepared to restaurant standards
• Assist in stock rotation, labeling, and storage of pastry ingredients
• Support the Pastry Chef with day-to-day tasks and special orders

Requirements

• Qualification: NCE/OND
• Previous experience in baking or pastry work is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and kitchen safety
• Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and portion controls
• Strong attention to detail and creativity
• Must be neat, punctual, teachable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

• Full-time, shift-based position
• Weekend and holiday availability required
