## Title: Parts and Inventory Officer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Parts and Inventory Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring proper control of parts inventory and managing all related administrative functions to support our operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Place daily parts orders and ensure timely delivery
- Maintain control of parts inventory and related administrative functions
- Negotiate with vendors and manage spare parts sourcing from various market locations
- Onboard and manage relationships with spare parts vendors
- Stock and post incoming orders in the system
- Assist workshop manager in processing weekly stock orders
- Notify appropriate parties when ordered parts arrive
- Update and maintain stock parts reports and files
- Maintain up-to-date parts price lists
- Compile stock control reports including consumption rates and current market conditions to determine stock supply and replenishment needs
- Provide necessary information to the warranty department for prompt filing of parts warranties
- Review files to identify unused items and recommend disposal of excess stock
- Ensure credits are received for returned parts and remove items from inventory upon credit receipt
- Match purchase orders and invoices, approve, and forward to accounting office
- File company copies of parts counter invoices
- Prepare for and perform annual parts inventory
- Assist in annual parts returns
- Maintain a clean, organized parts area
- Complete other assigned tasks as needed
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in spare parts and inventory management
- Strong parts negotiation skills
- Familiarity with spare parts vendors and market locations
