Operations Technician

Job Purpose - The Operations Technician will support day-to-day field and plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production activities. The role involves monitoring equipment, executing operational tasks, identifying abnormalities, and ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards. Requirements: & Qualifications - National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process Engineering, or related technical discipline - Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operations within the oil & gas or energy sector - Strong understanding of production operations, equipment handling, and safety procedures - Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, operating manuals, and technical drawings - Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required - Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation - Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage) - Oil & Gas safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, H2S) - Trade or technical certifications relevant to operations
