## Title: Open Market Sales Representative
About the Role
J3 Foods and Stores International seeks a dedicated Sales Representative to drive sales and expand market presence in open markets across Lagos, Nigeria. This role combines direct sales, market development, and customer relationship management in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Sell company products directly in open markets to retailers, wholesalers, and end-users
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Identify new sales opportunities and convert prospects into active buyers
Market Penetration & Coverage
- Ensure full coverage of assigned markets, routes, and territories
- Introduce new products and encourage adoption by retailers
- Expand customer base by opening new sales accounts
Merchandising & Product Visibility
- Ensure proper display and visibility of products at customer locations
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, and promotions in open markets
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and market stakeholders
- Collect and relay customer feedback to the sales team
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution
Inventory & Cash Management
- Manage stock effectively to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Ensure accurate remittance of daily sales proceeds
- Maintain proper documentation for product transfers, sales returns, and balances
Reporting
- Provide daily and weekly sales reports, route coverage, and customer updates
- Update management on market trends and competitor activities
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in sales, business, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in open market or field sales environments.
