## Title: Offshore Construction Lead

Job Purpose / Objective

The Offshore Construction Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing offshore construction activities for oil and gas development projects in Nigerian offshore and shallow water environments.

The role ensures the safe, timely, and cost-effective transportation, installation, hook-up, and handover of offshore facilities in compliance with HSSE standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.

The position plays a critical role in managing contractors, interfaces, and offshore execution risks while ensuring alignment with Nigerian regulatory frameworks, local content requirements, and JV partner expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transportation and installation of offshore structures including jackets, piles, topsides, and bridges within approved cost and schedule
  • Support load-out activities for jackets and piles (in-country fabrication) and topsides and bridges (out-of-country fabrication)
  • Manage T&I contractor activities, installation windows, and all interfaces between fabricators and installation contractors
  • Coordinate and manage interfaces with Wells, EPF1, EPF2, HUC, Pipelay, Logistics, HSSE, and CSU teams
  • Provide visible HSSE leadership, ensuring compliance with Life Saving Rules, Goal Zero, and SIMOPs requirements
  • Oversee offshore installation engineering, lifting, hoisting, marine utilities, and structural integrity assessments
  • Participate in risk assessments, project reviews, and Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Ensure seamless handover of offshore facilities to Hook-Up & Commissioning (HUC) contractors
  • Drive cost optimization and risk mitigation through effective inspection, maintenance, and execution strategies
  • Lead, coach, and supervise offshore construction contract staff and contingent resources

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline)
