NOC Field Engineer at Tizeti Network Limited

About the Role

The Network Operation Centre (NOC) is responsible for ensuring maximum service availability and performance of base stations and the internal network. As a NOC Field Engineer, you will sit within the network team, managing and interacting frequently with Technical Support, Managed Support, Service Provisioning, and Sales teams. You will communicate technical ideas and information to people from non-technical backgrounds while working closely with Design and Engineering teams.

You will develop a solid understanding of products and processes, join our call-out rota providing 24x7 support, and cover both planned and unplanned out-of-hours work as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure stable and reliable network services (access points, service networks, and core network)
• Perform day-to-day network performance monitoring
• Conduct network troubleshooting, fault analysis, and hardware troubleshooting and repair
• Resolve trouble tickets and manage carrier interface and escalations
• Deploy and maintain network monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools
• Apply configuration changes via change control systems and processes
• Install network hardware and software
• Monitor base station access points and routers
• Build and install base stations
• Perform network equipment upgrades, installation, and configuration
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime
• Provide active network surveillance, maintenance, and fault management to ensure optimum uptime, network stability, and security
• Liaise with support and customer service teams regarding customer complaints and resolution
• Create and follow up on trouble tickets about network issues until resolution
• Participate in 24x7 call-out rota
