Network Engineer at LinkOrg Networks

Role Summary

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to support ISP services. This role involves ensuring optimal network performance, scalability, and security. The Network Engineer collaborates with the NOC, operations, and customer service teams to deliver high-quality internet and data services to customers while maintaining the integrity of the network.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent (highly desirable)

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within an ISP or telecommunications company
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IP networking, including IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, and VPNs
• Expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus
• Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or PRTG

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Team player with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement
