Midwife / Staff Nurse at KAAF Specialist Hospital

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse or Midwife to join our dynamic team at KAAF Specialist Hospital in Lagos. In this role, you will provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and nursing protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in patient assessment, treatment, documentation, and overall clinical coordination to ensure efficiency, patient satisfaction, and adherence to professional ethics
• Administer medications and treatments strictly as prescribed by the doctor, adhering to the Six Rights of Drug Administration
• Maintain accurate and real-time documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and nursing charts
• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report any abnormal findings to the doctor
• Prepare wards and ensure patient readiness for admission, surgery, and discharge
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient management, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available and functional
• Provide patient education on medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up appointments

Qualifications & Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with valid licenses
• Registered Midwife (RM) credential (advantageous)
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a hospital with a strong background in midwifery
• Sound knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care standards
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care
