Merchandisers Supervisor - Modern Trade at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Merchandisers Supervisor to manage and coordinate a team of merchandisers across modern trade outlets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FMCG merchandising, a strong understanding of product display standards, and a good knowledge of stock rotation principles (FIFO). The role requires someone with solid analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, as well as a keen eye on competitor activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of merchandisers in assigned modern trade outlets
• Ensure all merchandising activities meet brand standards in terms of visibility, display, and stock availability
• Monitor and implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to reduce stock aging and wastage
• Conduct regular visits to outlets to inspect shelf health, stock levels, and product placement
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on merchandisers' performance, stock levels, and promotional compliance
• Liaise with sales and supply chain teams to ensure smooth replenishment and stock availability
• Analyze competitors' activities, pricing, and promotional strategies and provide timely feedback
• Train and guide merchandisers on best merchandising practices and company policies
• Track and ensure execution of planograms and in-store activation plans
• Submit weekly and monthly performance and market intelligence reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG merchandising, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of Modern Trade operations
• Solid understanding of FIFO, stock management, and retail display techniques
• Proficient in reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
