Key Responsibilities

• Follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings
• Take verbal direction and implement it into sketches and calculations to produce final work
• Produce plans, elevations, technical details, and building layouts
• Draw maps, diagrams, and plans for construction projects and structures, including bridges, highways, and wastewater management systems
• Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers
• Use a variety of CAD software programs to create designs in 2D and 3D models
• Make modifications to existing drawings as required
• Provide accurate, detailed, and scale drawings compliant with industry and health and safety standards
• Calculate costs and apply knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction
• Conduct site visits and surveys when required
• Present working drawings for use in all project stages: tender, manufacture/construction, and installation
• Produce installation and manufacturing documentation
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings
• Maintain accurate records
• Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, building services, and other construction professionals
• Liaise with engineers and designers to understand design requirements and provide technical advice to manufacturing and construction technicians
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• BSc. Degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Degree from a technical college also acceptable)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the same role
• Revit experience (compulsory)
