Medical Supply Chain Planner at ICRC - International Committee of the Red Cross

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will ensure that future demand needs from requesting departments are accurately uploaded and available in the JD Edwards software system through demand forecasting. You will process all forecast inputs and ensure goods sourcing meets demand in the most efficient and effective way.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor material resource planning (MRP) suggestions and analyze supply and demand patterns to improve forecasting accuracy and stock availability
• Make order fulfilment decisions based on the delegation's stocking strategy per product category and priorities identified with requesting departments and the logistics team
• Set and update MRP system parameters and item settings in the JD Edwards software
• Manage the delegation's consolidated demand figure, propose and monitor buffer stock levels, and maintain the contingency stock items list in accordance with delegation policy
• Support focal points within requesting departments (e.g., Health Unit, Water and Habitat Unit) in creating and correcting monthly forecasts
• Communicate with customers to ensure timely delivery, improve operational visibility, and support lean supply chain management
• Contribute to supply chain support for an assigned geographic area or specific product group, working alongside a designated supply chain officer
• Consolidate demand data with customers and participate in collaborative demand planning during Monthly Operation Planning (MOP) trilateral meetings with the Supply Chain Coordinator
• Prepare and present materials for MOP trilateral meetings, including monthly presentation slides
• Maintain reliable supply chain documentation and reporting
