Medical Laboratory Technician

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. Key Responsibilities: - Arrange daily activities based on urgency of request of samples. - Keep phlebotomy room clean, tables well arranged, blood collection set well arranged, documents well arranged, perform daily contamination of tables with bleach, decontaminate tourniquet at the close of work daily. - Identify patients using ID documents or other means. - Reassure patients and help them relax. - Determine suitable venipuncture sites. - Draw blood using sterilized needles ensuring optimal quantity and quality of samples. - Label samples correctly and answer patient questions giving them meaningful information. - Keep an accurate record of all specimens. - Adhere to all health and safety standards while working, ensure proper waste segregation and use of PPE at all times. Requirements: - 1-3 years experience in Similar Role - MLT certification - Technician experience/ training - Attention to detail and skill in proper patient identification. - Experience in Venipuncture techniques - Time management - Excellent communication skills - Ability to connect with several types of patients.
