About the Position

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data in support of scientific investigations
• Prepare specimens, samples, and reagents
• Operate and ensure regular maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Participate in equipment validations, calibrations, quality controls, and assessments
• Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and appropriately resourced
• Promptly and accurately record laboratory results and present them to the pathologist for approval
• Ensure the safety and security of all data records generated in the laboratory
• Stay current with technical developments, particularly those that can save time and improve reliability
• Ensure adherence to standard laboratory safety measures and checks
• Participate in scientific meetings and departmental activities as assigned

Requirements

Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and experience in medical laboratory science.
