An established company is recruiting for the following position. Job Type   Permanent: 40 hours per week. Salary per Calendar Month    N100k – N200k, depending on experience and skills ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES - To work closely with colleagues to perform speedy and accurate processing of samples, validate results, and supervise junior staff (where applicable) to provide a high-quality service to all laboratory users. - Maintain and enforce good laboratory practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. - Monitor and ensure tests are completed on time to meet turnaround time targets. - Uphold excellent quality standards for all laboratory-generated results. - Review internal and external quality reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal laboratory performance. - To contribute to the development and implementation of new standard operating procedures. - To efficiently manage operational resources, including reagents, consumables, and kits. - Generate periodic reports on medical laboratory performance to inform decision-making and facilitate process improvements. - To ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment and adherence to set timelines for equipment maintenance and servicing. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE - A minimum GPA of 3.5 in Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) with a current practising license issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) is required. A Master of Medical Laboratory Science will be a distinct advantage. - Desirable - Multidisciplinary expertise (desirable): Have 3+ years' continuous experience in Blood Transfusion, Medical Microbiology, Haematology, Chemical Pathology, and Molecular Biology. - Experience with a wide array of analysers, both for point-of-care and laboratory-based. - Certification in quality management systems is desirable, but work experience in an ISO-accredited facility (or other healthcare accreditation) could suffice.
